Race for the Arts 2011

Dear Friends of New Helvetia Theatre:

Last year 75 artists, board members and friends of New Helvetia Theatre raised over $3,000 through Sacramento’s Race for the Arts. The team demonstrated to participants and spectators alike that NHT is alive and well in the Sacramento community.

This year we would like to build on and improve upon that success by organizing another NHT Team for the 2011 Race for the Arts. The race will be held August 27th in William Land Park. For more information about Race for the Arts and how to register please visit:  www.raceforthearts.com

How can you help?

  • Register for the race and then collect pledges for NHT; and/or
  • Support one (or more) members of the NHT Team by your pledge
  • Turn in donations on August 27th (checks made payable to New Helvetia Theatre)
  • Volunteer to help set up the day of the Race (call 916.451.2165 for info.)

Raise $50 or more and receive an NHT t-shirt, and the person who collects the most money will receive four tickets to New Helvetia’s upcoming production of Little Fish.

Day of the Race:

7:30 AM- 8:15 AM – Meet and greet at 1317- 11th Ave. Sacramento, 95818 (pledges will be collected at this time) then walk to the starting line.
8:30 AM – RACE!
9:30 AM- 12PM – Celebration back at home base. Food and drinks provided.

Thank you for your continued support and we hope to see you on the 27th!

An important note about obtaining pledges and collecting donations for NHT:

The Race for the Arts registration fee covers expenses associated with the 5K race. It is the money from the pledges that will benefit New Helvetia. In addition, we learned last year that there is a delay of several months between when pledges are submitted to Race for the Arts and when they are received by NHT. With the first show of the 2011-2012 season opening in October, it would be beneficial if pledges were made payable to New Helvetia Theatre.

New Helvetia Theatre is a registered 501(c)3 non-profit organization and donations are tax deductible.
